Description: Kavon�s Gonna Zum Bayou "Lexington" Lexxington (Lexx) is our youngest Golden. He just recently turned the big 1!! He also has 2 big brothers, Austin and Lincoln, both of whom are 4 years old. Lexx first appeared on the cover of the GRW back in September 2012 when he was just a baby. This picture of Lexx was taken a few weeks ago in beautiful Wascana Park in Regina, SK. He had just had his eyes checked earlier in the day so we thought we would take him for a nice relaxing walk around the park. He managed to find an area where he could take a dip to cool off. However, once he got into the water, there was no getting him out; he actually lied down. While I was trying to coax him out, the passersby were wondering what was going on. Lexx brought on many smiles when they all looked to see a stubborn puppy who thought he was being pretty funny!! He did eventually come out and we carried on with our walk. Lexx is a wonderful boy who keeps us very busy. He has recently completed his 3rd obedience class, Level 1 tracking class and continues with agility. Description: Animation�s Marleyman "Joey" We spent our first winter as retiree�s in Florida this year. Our first stop was to go to the ocean and to let Joey have a swim in the salt water. He swam until he could not swim any more. We never stopped smiling. On our second trip to the ocean Joey had a wave roll over him and he got a mouthful, he would not put a foot in after that! No matter how many times we went back he would not go in, we are hoping that he is just a fresh water boy as he has always had a love for water! Description: "Bailey" Our Golden, Bailey, enjoys the spring sunshine and takes a well-deserved rest after playing some fetch and catch. Ever the Retriever, Bailey would chase tennis balls until my arm was worn out and then after a short rest, he was quickly ready for more! Here he enjoys a brief break amidst the coolness of the euonymus bushes in our front yard. He likewise enjoyed our neighbor's pachysandra and would often make himself right at home in it! His gentle manner and wagging tail endeared him to all our neighbors, and he quickly made fast friends with everyone he met. Springtime allowed him to become reacquainted with the neighbors after the long winter and we'd once again break out the tennis balls! My son snapped this photo capturing our beautiful Golden during a quiet moment in a favored resting place and creating a fond memory of our beloved Bailey. Daniel Foley

Description: "Owen" Owen was born December 20th and from the very beginning we knew Owen was extra special. Owen was confident, intelligent, easy to train, and outstanding at problem solving (climbing stairs and slides, getting around objects and barriers etc.). He was always the first to try new things. We received a phone call from ADAI (Assistance dogs for Achieving Independence) about their potential interest in a puppy from our litter to enter their training program. Everything they described that they looked for in a puppy, were the same things that made Owen really stand out. After meeting Owen and performing several temperament tests, Owen was accepted into their two year training program. Owen is bred by Beachfront Goldens. Description: "We Are Ready For Our Closeup!" Here are a couple of sweet babies from our most recent planned litter ready to go early Spring. These adorable puppies are just a few hours old. We put all the puppies in a laundry basket so one of us could take Mom out to potty and the other could clean the whelping box and add fresh towels. They all snuggled with their littermates and made a puppy pile. When I saw these two heads resting on another pup I reached for my camera. This was not posed in any way. Love this shot!!! Description: "Austin" Austin's Wake Charger is a photographers dream dog. Austin is so patient when being photographed, only a golden would sit perfectly still for a good half an hour while being photographed. Although I will tackle the challenge to photograph a dog of any breed, only a golden retriever proves truly worthy and satisfactory. Description: "Millstones Golden" As I sit down to write this for all of you, I realize how very special a puppy is to most people. As a breeder I think you become almost numb to the experience of new life and what you do and the joy you bring to new families. At this very special time of the year, it gives you time to look back and to remember all the happy faces of people picking up there new furry family member and all the new friends we have made over the years of breeding. As this new litter of puppies gets ready to leave us shortly after Christmas, this year, I know in my heart that the 7 families we have chosen to love these furry children, there lives will be changed forever. Some getting ready to enjoy a golden for the first time others getting ready to write another chapter in there lives, as they get a puppy to start again. The puppy you see in both photos is a Scout (Int./UKC Ch. Millstones Leader of the Pack) bred to Atlas (AKC Ch. Numoon Nautilus The Navigator). Some of the credit for these photo�s needs to go to my friend Jessica Smith at Picture this Photography, who not only takes a photo but takes the time to make sure every photo is just perfect and that every photo tells a story. Anyone who has ever tried to photograph a puppy knows it is not easy and takes lots of patience and time.
