Monterey Bay Eat Your Heart Out
"Pillsbury"

Two months ago I lost my Pillsbury to bone cancer. Like his mother he was a very special boy to me. He will never be replaced and will remain close to me over rainbow bridge with Karen and Rosie.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of Heaven, there is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends. So they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who have been ill and cold are restored to heath and vigor, those hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content except for one small thing. They miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind. They all run and play together but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.

His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs take him faster and faster. You have been spotted and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.

What a beautiful lad and obviously so loved by you. You were blessed to have each other and of course he'll be waiting for you at Rainbow Bridge and then wow what a reunion you'll have! Kind regards from Julie, Walter and Hudson

I'm very sorry to hear about Pillsbury, I love all of his pictures. He's a distant relative of Phoenix, through Kirby. My heart is sad, and hurts for you too. Goodbye Pillsbury, we miss you, sweet boy. I know you'll have a lot of friends at the Bridge while you wait for your family.

Sweet baby. I'm very sorry for your loss. We just put our friend down in February after 14 great years. I can't think of a decision more difficult.

Prayers to you.

Pillsbury looks a lot like my old golden we had to put to sleep 5 years ago. I miss her still. It's the hardest decision we've ever had to make.

Pillsbury looks EXACTLY like my Beanie (female) who I lost Aug 29th, 2009. I still cry to this day I miss her so much. She was a true angel and my best friend. There is nothing like the heart of a golden retriever and in the end they end up owning your heart. I am so sorry for your loss, I know only too well the pain...

I still miss my first golden Nicky who we had to put to sleep 8 years ago. She will forever be my soulmate dog, even though I love Morgan, Nicky was a special girl who lived through my divorce and my bout with cancer. I miss her to this day!
