Gorca's King Of Troy

"Cuate"

Cuate's formal name is GORCA'S KING OF TROY and he was born in Tampa-Florida on December 8th 2005. He became part of our family at the end of February 2006, just two months after we had lost our previous canine son “Spy”. After Spy left us, we were trying to get over our recent loss, contacted the breeder, and tried to focus on planning a special trip to the US in order to pick him up since we live in Caracas-Venezuela. From the moment we saw him on a picture sent to us by email we fell in love with him and his Mohawk.

Having Cuate home was quite a new experience for us…….we thought we knew all about Golden Retrievers…..but ….he proved us to be wrong!!! From the minute he entered into our home he turned our preconceptions upside down…in contrast with our previous boy, who was known as “The English Lord” of our neighborhood even as a puppy, Cuate was VERY (maybe I should say Hyper??) active, very playful and with a special inclination to agility jumping (he jumped our chairs, puffs, or any obstacle that stood between him and what he was looking for…usually a tennis ball)….we thought we had an earthquake on four paws!!

Then we decided to get him into formal obedience training (which is not so common in our country)…I can proudly say he graduated with “honors”… and at this moment he is starting Agility and Search and Recovery Training. I am very happy to say that Cuate is not only the King of Troy…….he is now the King of our Hearts!!

I knew this was Cuate even before I read the cover story. He is a very distinctive AND distinguished Golden. What a handsome guy. Does Cuate like to go bike riding? I taught Cody to trot next to me while I ride my bike. It really helps to burn off my wild guy's excess energy. Cuate sure is a sweetheart Smile Connie and Cody
